Love cricket but haven't seen any since I've lived in Spain (15 years).
What's this 20/20 thing? some kind of breakaway thing like Kerry Packer did in the 70s

No it is severely reduced sprint cricket 20 overs a side and strict field settings, just like after work cricket used to be, find the boundary or run like hell. Its approved by the MCC as well
 
20/20 is great to watch but there is a worry that it could be the dominant brand of cricket. Hate to see Tests lose their importance:(
 

They'll show cricket highlights on the TV over here from time to time but I can't pretend to understand many of the rules.
