A stupid, stupid cricket organisation
Going to be a good series imo and agree about the lineup. I think people are worried that Bethnal is a tad greenPlenty of logic to it, we need to create an option at 3 and Bethnal can hopefully replicate at the very least the role Mo Ali did in the later ashes tests that allows our gun batsman to bat in their preferred positions.
That line up bats deep and has 6 bowling options. We are however away to a team thar has just achieved the greatest series win I can recall in a long time.
Losing his footing, Hagley Oval's pitches are very green and lush, there will be a bit of morning moisture underfoot and he's a guy that looks to plant that back foot before unloading, he'll struggle for pace till some footmarks develop I think.Anyone disappointed with Atkinson's pace? He came into the team as a high 80's bowler
Stunning ground thoughLosing his footing, Hagley Oval's pitches are very green and lush, there will be a bit of morning moisture underfoot and he's a guy that looks to plant that back foot before unloading, he'll struggle for pace till some footmarks develop I think.
New Zealand really has some of the most gorgeous cricket grounds. This wicket is very tennis ball like, but there will be a lot of runs in it this test when it browns off.Stunning ground though
Looks tough to get a rhythm going with all the feet slipping. New Zealand haven’t had too many scares. Can't help but feel England are wasting the new ball here, a lot can change in the first session especially after I type this but they've not been consistent in the corridor long enough.
