Ive gone right off burgers the last few years, always feel sick after eating them.

But yeah tomatoes have no place on them and Brioche buns are sweet and dont belong with a sweaty burger.

I like a flattened burger. Most you get in restaurants are too thick with a rank ‘dip’ served on a slate.

I've started making my own at home, feel way fresher and also I can make them without them being stupidly tall.

For the most part, me too. I have switched to Beyond/plant-based burgers and they are totally great.

Lettuce and cucumber are staples of a burger if I make one at home, carrot and a meat patty then smother in tomato sauce.

The amateurs who make these abominations should not be allowed to make any burger ever again. The basic rules for a solid burger are

1.Good Burger to bun ratio
2 Being able to eat if without it falling apart

If you can’t manage those two basic fundamental things then you have no business cooking burgers and need to get in the bin and never come out.

Luckily the mad burger craze seems to have ended, a lot of the good burgers are very basic these days
