No meat. The tomato chutney stuff takes it to the next level.

A sandwich made with Cornish Quartz® Cheddar cheese, roasted butternut squash, spiced tomato and caramelised onion chutney, mayonnaise and spinach in sliced malted bread.

Our No. 1 Cheddar Ploughman's sandwich is a feast of flavours, made with Cornish Quartz Cheddar that's typically matured for 700 days to develop a rich, complex taste and its signature crunch. It's complemented by roasted butternut squash, fresh spinach and a spiced tomato and caramelised onion chutney, and served on nutty-tasting malted bread.

Also if I'm going crisps butty, it's only ever basic crisps. Ruffles et al and kettle chips are too sharp for me to be enjoying the sandwich without losing bit of gum.
This guy knows the score.

McCoy’s are a great standalone crisp but they do not belong on a butty. That honour is reserved for the OG crisp, who has served us honourably for decades, not these Johnny-Come-Lately 21st Century snacks.

I’ve always loved a crisp sandwich.

Always a walkers crisp, any flavour crushed between buttered bread. Anyone have other type of crisps? I’ve had McCoys and they do the job tbf. Couldn’t imagine wotsits working?

Over the past year I’ve been introduced to having extras on the crisp sandwich. Ham or cheese.

I doubted this invention at first. I’ve tried both and think the grated cheese and crisp sandwich is king. Hand and crisp sandwich is abit knob headish.

WHAT A THRED. WHAT A SITE.

Every good sandwich needs meat.
It aint even me.

It's not anyone, it's just the backdrop now. Anaesthetised.

I would vote any of the above TBH. I love a crisp in a sarnie to give it that extra crunch.

I would say mostly these days with ham and/or cheese. Bit of pickle too. Not massively arsed about what exact crisp goes in there.

Probably haven't had crisps on their own in a sandwich since I was at university. I used to have cheese and onion McCoys and mayonnaise sandwiches, with that that thick white bread that Kingsmill do (or did). Don't knock it till you've tried it
