HEX is a better BTC in nearly every way, the founder is a genius billionaire who has never sold a single one of his coins. In fact, on chain analysis shows that he buys his own coins, but never sells! Show me another founder apart from Satoshi that does that, Vitalik dumps ETH all the time, as does every other founder. Richard Heart and Satoshi are exceptions to the rule.

HEX is down a lot from it's ath but still around 500x up from it's all time low, and that's without the yield earned through staking.

HEX is true DeFi, no middlemen, what crypto was originally invented to do.

Reminder, no one actually owns the crypto they buy, a crypto wallet is just a keychain. All you have is knowledge, knowledge of your seed phrases/private key. Publishing on the Blockchain is speech, speech is a protected right.

I hear you. I remember working with lads who were cashing in bitcoin £1 per coin and buying playstation on exchanges, madness

Just seems that bitcoin is through blu-ray of the crypto world, even if it's not the best technology out there is the success story
 
I bought my £2k crypto investment at the end of Nov 21. The absolute worst time to buy. I've spent the last 3 years sitting on a loss but after the recent upturn I'm now sitting on a 25% profit. I always looked at it as a 10 year investment so we'll see what happens.

What's really annoying though is that if I did exactly the same investment at the beginning of 2021, which is when I first thought about getting in to crypto, I'd currently be sitting on £90k.

What could have been.
 

november 2013 bitcoin first hit 1000 dollars
november 2017 bitcoin first hit 10000 dollars

any guesses for the mega 100,000 dollars

i reckon sometime after mid january next year

I made a really quick buck in 2021 was very lucky. I will never forget years and years ago hovering over “buy” on 2 BTC @ $80 each and going “nah” and closing the effing tab.
 
Ok I know nothing about this crypto stuff, a good few years ago I bought doge coin, just because it looked like it was dodgy,

I bought for 16 cents I got an email from them to update my account which I forgot all about, it’s 60 cents when I looked the other day , do I sit on it or sell it,I do play on the stock market and like to take out my initial investment if and when I have gains, thinking of just doing this here

Depends how many you have. If it's a small amount of money invested then may as well ride it in the hope that one day they could be worth something decent. If you have enough that even if you sell half, there is still plenty there that you ride the train playing with house money, that's a good position to be in.

I think one of the more established coins is a better bet to invest in though.

Feb might be too early, maybe if you are lucky I will call the top again like i did last cycle...
