I watched the match back from the other night and to my eyes we played a clear 442 with Doucoure up with Beto. It was even 424 when pressing, Harrison about 50 yards further forward than under Dyche. I wonder if this is the time for Keane up with Beto?

We are really running out of bodies. Assuming we have the nine out, we will have a maximum of 3 outfield, first-team subs.
Keane will never start up front, even his brief appearance in the FA Cup where he was subbed on showed he can't play there.

From set pieces he's deadly but not as a striker.

I have a horrible feeling about tomorrow
Palace at full strength
After the Lord Mayor's show
I hope I'm wrong

I remember playing them in similar circumstances in 21/22. Had just had the emotion of beating Newcastle at home with 96th minute Iwobi winner and that result was critical in staying up. That was a Thursday game for some reason and Palace away in the cup was something like 1pm on the Sunday.

Started off o.k but it was a mixed line up and then conceded and were well beaten 4-0 in the end. Luckily Palace did their usual disappearing act when leading at Goodison in the final week of that season.

Match up pretty well against them as the results in last five years indicate but I'd be more than happy with a draw just to keep the unbeaten run going. They will have more to change things off the bench so that's what people need to have it mind if getting to an hour at 0-0.

Can understand an old school Moyes mentality tonight. Clog the midfield, restrict the service to their front three and keep Beto on the last shoulder in an attempt to get one on the break.
The wide players will have to play smart or risk burning themselves out too early with no adequate replacement.
Ya I reckon he will try have this like the Brighton game. Frustrate and force them to cross into our box from deep out the pitch and long range efforts while try nick a goal ourselves. Hopefully the players have the legs to keep going till the final whistle

Alcaraz in for Duke, Harrison in for N'Jai, same 9 apart from that. We have enough defensive options on the bench so let's hope we can go ahead and then defend resolutely and play counter attack instead. No good going defensive from the off.
