your probably right , becouse palace are osmans standard of teams he does well against.
but im certain barkley would have a better game in his place.
theres also the risk of illusion that if osman does well in this then hes good enough to start against liverpool arsenal man utd etc.

If Gareth Barry has a good game today, i'm certain Johnny Heitinga would have a better game in his place.

Don't get me wrong, not Osman's biggest fan these days, but it's a bit ridiculous to 1) write him off before the game and 2) make statements that mean he basically can't win. According to you, Osman could score 3 and set up another 2 today, but Barkley would automatically have done better.

Barkley was great at the start of the season, but has been quite poor lately.

i wouldnt say poor , id say not at his best. osman on the other hand has had 20 minutes all season where he has been at his best (just my opinion)

like i said earlier , my reasoning isnt due to osman bashing, i think players that dont perform need dropping to get them to up there game. players that play well deserve to be rewarded with a starting place.
