You beat us 2-3 at Goodison in 2014. That was the last time we lost to Crystal Palace.

We lost at home the year after too

But that was a real disappointing game. It was late in April and we went 4th with a win but we just couldn't cope with the pressure.

I do think tomorrow is a tough game though. We can obviously go there and win, but their counter attacking style is going to be tricky for us. If they get the first goal it could be very hard to get a result. I win will be great, but if we draw it won't be the end of the world. Palace would probably feel the same.

Looks a tricky fixture to me. Probably have to be content with a draw (like normal) but I really think these are the kind of fixtures we need to win regularly to push into the top 6.
Our away form has been poor for many years now and is the one thing we need to vastly improve on.
Fingers crossed we show our quality though and I'm more confident this season than most that we can.

It’s definitely a barometer for us. Top teams will go there and win. If we don’t get a result it’s not the end of the world but it will be a bit of a reality check. Spurs will improve with their extra signings and West Brom are relegation fodder.

Thats the one mate, think Palace had just come up, Paul Warhurst played as well, Gary Speed was playing for us and think John Oster made his debut. Was a scorcher if i remember right.
Yes. Howard’s first game back as Everton manager. His previous game was a defeat to Palace as Sheffield United manager in the play off final.

Palace are a funny side sometimes they can beat a top 6 team then get smashed by Burnley. A point won't be the worst thing staying unbeaten regardless is always a positive.

If you can keep that winning habit up it can pay massive dividends. Look at the season we finished 4th. On paper not the most amazing team but we just kept on winning at the start of the season. Would love to build that sort of momentum this year but Palace certainly no pushovers.
