Defended well but not a good performance overall, midfield need to do better and take control of the game more. Great to get the win but it was a fortunate pen and I’d feel a bit hard done by if I were Palace. We’ll have to play better than that going forward.

Was always gonna be a tough one that, and they'll know it. Big win that, had to dig it out, not perfect but job done. We'd have crumbled in that game last season and that's the measure of how far we've come.

It is a site for Everton fans primarily buddy and if we are 2-1 up and missing two very very good chances to make it 3 or 4 I don't think anyone would have been happy with a draw and shaken hands afterwards (in a C-19 compliant way)

Just at the moment Gomes and James lost some steam, Allan and Doucouré step up their game. While it might have looked that Crystal was all over, they were not able to do much. I do think the substitutions left me with doubts. Sigurosson was OK and did his job, but Davies and Iwobi were pretty bad. All around a very good win. Not every game can be won playing beautifully, but now we know the character of this team. They expect to win.

No, not really. We played well and positively. Pluses were Eze, Townsend, Kouyate, all of who played really well. Everton edged it but I don’t think there would have been too many disappointed on here with a draw after the way both sides played. Good game.
