Ridiculous to call a match against palace a marker for the season, but to me it is.
Teams who will be up there at the end of the season will take matches like this in their stride and dispatch them. Teams who will be midtable or worse will struggle to scrape a draw.
If we despatch these 2-0 or something I will be more confident about our season as it's typically these matches we have struggled with in recent years

No offence to palace (soz @Alan Whittle ), but they should be worried about us, rather than the other way round - stick the Duke or Allan on zaha like a cheap suit, and that will shut them down imo.
Just praying Pickford isn't Pickford today, as this could be a tight one and they are an organised side - his mistakes haven't cost us yet this season, thankfully - let's hope that continues if he makes any clangers, but his and our luck will run out at some point with him.
