That Spurs game last season when they were hitting balls off one another was keystone cops stuff.

It's not "the players" or "the manager" it's the entire organization. It's poorly run. There's no strategy in building. They hire and fire managers and rarely give them a chance to fully build anything before sending them off. Then you end up with players unsuited for the new style of play.

People want scapegoats or someone to blame to take their anger out on. But Everton the club is the problem not any individual. Firing Benitez doesn't fix this more than firing other managers fixed it. By the same token blaming the players doesn't fix it either.

Doucoure, Richarlison, Digne, DCL, Godfrey, Allan, Pickford...those are not bad players no matter how mad you are at them. It's simply not true. They keep getting put into positions to not succeed. The style changes every year. They get recruited to do one thing then get asked to do another. Players aren't robots. Real life isn't FIFA. You can't plug and play ratings. Team building is long term and requires a rock solid plan from the ground up.

Everton have failed on this front for many, many years. There's no organizational philosophy. There's no style of play they believe in. It's just a mishmash of players over 5 different managers playing styles that don't fit together at all.

There's no quick fix or simple solution. Have to try and find a way to stay up this year which likely means binning off another manager. But at some point this team will get relegated if they don't fix the actual problems.

It's systemic rot that's the culprit.

Richarlison hadn't had a touch all game. Was terrible. Don't get me wrong, Rondon on isn't exactly an improvement but Richarlison wasn't on it tonight.

Richarlison is still our biggest threat though mate.
