He should be. Patterson deserves a half.

Gray looking absolutely shot confidence wise to me. Not creating anything and that’s what he’s in the team for. We know damn well he’s got a wicked cross on him should he choose to use it.

Gray has to do a lot more indeed...maybe that's why holgate hasn't been good...left isolated against a player on form. Mcneill moved to the right for a while at the end of the half so wonder if that's going to be the case also in the second half.

Must have been about a month ago now that he played for the 23s to build fitness?

I like him think theres a player there, though admittedly he's been inconsistent and not hit the level I was initially hoping he would. Better option than holgate either way though.

I just don't think Dyche fancies him, tbh I reckon if Godfrey was fit Dyche might have played him LB and started this game with four centre backs.

I like him too but wouldn’t be surprised if Dyche is valuing premier league experience ahead of the better talent.
This makes sense when you’re putting someone like Coleman in but not for Holgate imo

Gray is frequently horrible but usually manages to put together 1 or even 2 scoring chances in a match.
