Was always going to be the case. Rodgers undersold Liverpool at the expense of Suarez so much that the player became bigger than the club. When they try to attract players now they're not joining Suarez FC; they're joining a club everyone detests who can't compete on the biggest stage.

They're not a big attraction, that's true. They cant land the best in the game. But I think there's a class of player they might have got in who reside in a level just below top, top class and the sort they've brought in. Rodgers has form in laying down hefty fees for utter wastes of space but popping up with the odd gem. That success rate is not going to get them far in the PL or the CL.

FSG had an initial arrangement that Rodgers would be tethered to a committee on transfer matters. They've let that badly slip. If, as I'd expect, this new batch of players dont get the job done I could see sparks flying at Anfield and Rodgers being marginalised when it comes to market activity or just simply moved on.

Read through it all again, just for the craic. What a bizarre night

After feeling so down after the Liverpool/City game at Anfield, to the feeling of mild optimism after Chelsea to this unbelievable result. Mad, just mad. Kind of bad that I was so worked up about whether Liverpool won the league really, but I know they'd be the same if it was us almost winning it

We actually WILL be the neutral's favourites when it's our go though ;)
