City fan here.
I just want to bask in the hilarity of a Liverpool collapse with other blues, navy and sky blue.
I was at Goodison on Saturday, and loved the way you lot joined in with our Gerrard song after full time. Applauses from both sets of fans.
A great weekend to be a blue.
The title is close for us, and you lot enjoy a successful season while avoiding having to suffer the ignominy of sharing a city with the arrogant gloating of Liverpool and their media cronies.
Not only that, your challenge on the top four will have extra impetuous next year, Liverpool won't have that leg up that a title would give them.
I think 95% of neutrals are riding this wave of hilarity and enjoying the schadenfreude, especially given the arrogance of Liverpool's fans declaring that they'd already won it.
Should it go our way now, I'll never forget walking out of Anfield the other week to hear a chorus of Irish accents declaring, with much gusto; "WE'RE GONNA WIN DE LEAGUE".
Then we have the gloriously ironic moment of Gerrard, of all people, slipping and removing Liverpool's lead at the top a mere two weeks later.
Glorious. It's like a gift from the footballing Gods, karma delivering sweet retribution to the established elite and their vile plastic fans. United and Liverpool. So close, yet so far. Beautiful.
We've been given our moment in the sun, I genuinely hope you lot soon enjoy similar fortunes to ourselves as of recent seasons.
Good luck for next season lads. Here's to a glorious summer and an entertaining World Cup.
Cheers!
Why isn't Barkley's goal contender for goal of the season on MNF?
Even Spurs taking the piss
