He get's the stick because he's piss poor, how he made it in footy is baffling, no wonder he was third choice at Southampton.

I’m sure he doesn’t even want to play left back - but the lad is doing his best, and hasn’t been embarrassed by anyone. We don’t have anyone else to play there, so I just don’t see the point of the criticism tbh.

Niasse contributes to the team by pitching in with goals.

Martina contributes nothing other than being pretty good at passing to the opposition, to break down our attacks.

To be fair he has been a part of some clean sheets fairly recently.

We are a top flight club in the wealthiest league in the world. How we do not have a back up left back is ridiculous.

And yet Salah, Mane, Hazard etc didn’t manage this.

He isn’t good enough, but just absurd the stick he gets.

This. It's almost like we're waiting for him to crumble when faced with some of these lightning fast attackers, but he's not done so. He's shown really good temperament, not flapped when things weren't going his way, kept his concentration the full 90 minutes again and again. Yes the sooner that we don't need to play him the better, but he deserves some credit for the way he's handled himself and contributed to our defensive improvement.

Not slating him by all means but he’s unbelievably limited as a footballer. Not his fault he’s being played out of position but he’s a major weak link in the side.

We need a LB ASAP and if Walsh doesn’t produce one this month he should be sacked IMO. Complete negligence to go in to a season with one (32y/o) LB and no backup.
