As some have said think we need to get Richie in the box with DCL. So I would like to have Richie just behind dcl, and have gray on the left who can run at defenders and draw space. Then have Townsend on the right who can deliver a good cross. With Richie and dcl in the box we should get joy from that. Richie can then also drop into the middle when we don’t have have the ball to make a 3, which should help us not get overrun as we have been.

Or you could have Richarlison on the left getting into the box laterally. Either Richarlison or Doucs timing the run.
What you want is dynamic movement.
Rather than having Gray and Richarlison on opposite wings, you'd have then positioned closer and interchanginng

Only changes I’d make to that is Godfrey for Keane, and probably swap the sides Richarlison and Gray, as I feel Gray has a better cross on him, and Richarlison is good at ghosting into the box for crosses from the left flank

Would swap godfrey and mykolenko put mina in. Then think i would try onyango at cm with allan dacoure hopefully gives us some energy.

The personnel we have dictates a 4-3-3 imo

Prefer to play 3 in the middle but we don’t have the personnel to even play that with any confidence. Desperately need another body in there with Allan and Doucoure. Lost all hope with Gomes. He has the odd spell here and there (most notably off the bench) but it’s all too few and far between with him.

We have a nice problem up front with regards to our 2 strikers but it is a problem. DCL is the number 9 outright yet I feel Richie is by far the better finisher, especially with anything whipped in at sub 6 foot where he can easily flash across his man and bury it. He'd be most clubs number 9.

Yet DCL has proved he can bang in 20 a season in a poor team. Both must be in that box now we have the staff on the pitch to feed them, both are deadly in their own right.

Gray/Townsend/Gordon have between them the wares to provide that service as proved, and all 3 can chip in with great goals as also proved.

Keeping Mina fit is key and I agree alongside Keane the duo have looked solid, however I hope Branthwaite can step up to the mark and become the true 3rd choice.

If the 2 new fullbacks do what is hoped of them I think a surge up the league is easily on the cards, this may be a bitza of a squad but we have the quality there other teams don't.

I often think we're a Roy Keane away from nailed on top 6.
