….very sad diagnosis for Chris Hoy, especially with his wife also suffering MS. Aalways seems one of life’s good guys, can only hope he’s with us longer than they predict.
Shocking news eggs.

Terrible diagnosis for both Mr and Mrs H especially with young children.
 
I can’t believe Hoy is only 48, always seemed a lot older than me. And the fact at this age he couldn’t access a PSA test despite a family history is shocking. He alludes to it in the interview, but that test might have given an early diagnosis and chance of a full recovery.

And then you read the news about his wife, truly awful!
 


Wout had back to back victories at the weekend in the cyclocross, good to see him back on song after a rough 2024. He's not as strong as he used to be on the cross, whereas MvdP remains head and shoulders above - they were both due to compete yesterday but vdP got injured in a minor crash so withdrew. Conditions, though, were mental mud of the type that Wout absolutely excels in, so I think he might have beaten vdP on the day.
