It shouldn't, although the common denominator there is that some human beings are pricks. Dogs are creatures and mostly its neglect, trauma or abuse that causes this (and so its that which should be banned, not the dog).
so if we cannot guarantee they will not fall into the hands of nice humans who can handle we surely must ban these dogs such as guns or innocent humans keep getting hurt or killed??

guns yes, but banning dogs = killing them

FWIW a relative of mine had a (well trained) giant staffordshire bull terrier and it was the softest thing in the entire world; his (at that stage very young) kids used to ride him round the house.

very peacefully put to sleep if need be buddy. yes every dog is a fur baby but they often do this......

Got a staffy and a XL bully. Boss dogs. But unfortunately they are the choice of dog for the bellends out there. Which is what it ultimately comes down to

Unfortunately a lot of people who have all types of dogs don't train them well, but these particularly dangerous in the wrong hands

I wouldn't be against some form of licensing for dogs... But sure that would have the anti lock down muh rights type of folk up in arms
