Dangerous dogs

Staffys are NOT dangerous dogs when the owner is responsible. Best dog I ever had, had to be kept on a lead when walked as she was a bit unpredictable around other dogs. Around people (including kids) she was bomb proof, a little kid once chased her trying to do karate chops and she just looked at him as if to say leave me alone and strolled off. I have a Frenchie now and he’s a little [Poor language removed] head.

Just for clarity there are dangerous dogs out there that are and should remain banned!

Well at least democracy prevailed on this thread. While the thick, insecure, guns don’t keep people rappers do look at me no one will bully me in the park I stink of winnalot and dog foul utter failures continue to let their little dog and human attacking machines run freely.

I do agree about the owners, some do it to look hard, some just don't socialise them as pups. The angriest dogs in my experience are chihuahua's, Yorkies, Shi tzu's and Jack Russels all little dogs but snappy as hell. Staffies are actually very friendly and great with kids but if taught to be aggressive they will be.

I've met Rottweilers who had some of the best temperaments I've come across and they were labelled dangerous at one point, seems to go in fads which dogs are to blame.

The only dogs that make me nervous are German Shepherd's they are very unpredictable and i don't trust them at all, especially when used as guard dogs.

It is the equivalent of saying "my AK-47 is the best gun for kids".

My dog’s been attacked on 2 separate occasions, both times by border collies.

my old GSD was 'attacked' by one, my lad was on a lead, the collie raced up to him and nipped him 3 times, the third time my lad gripped it by the shoulders, squeezed til it yelped and set off on his walk again.

Most dogs have the potential to be dangerous, the reality is that most dogs are unlikely to be dangerous unless their conditioning or their treatment pushes them to be so.

My next door's Dachshund is a little yappy prick though
