DATES FOR TV GAMES RELEASED 2024/25

When will be Arsenal game be officially announced. Anyone heard anything re When it will be moved to

no, but if the grand national is saturday 4pm the likelihood is it will be a super sunday game

the champions league quarter finals are to be played between monday 7th and Wednesday 9th april according toe UEFA site, so they are unlikely to move us to Monday

We play Liverpool on Wednesday 2nd April and Arsenal are down for the Tuesday so unlikely it gets moved any earlier such as Friday night

Though this is sky, they dont really care about the fans. This United game was moved to Saturday 12pm, knowign that United could possibly have a europa game and it would have to be moved with 2 weeks notice, so wouldnt surprise me if they put it to Monday, and then had to move it if Arsenal qualify for quarter final

Super Sunday makes the most sense though, Liverpool's chaser in the title race having to go to Goodison and get a win. No chance it's not 4.30 slot

Arsenal could potentially be on the following Tuesday as well so that might affect it. Manchester Derby is also that weekend and usually gets the Sunday 4.30 game
My own thinking is we will be 5.30 on the Saturday. Arsenal if still in Europe will get their break regardless then

i mean both could be super sunday

seems a bit mad for both policing and also for fans to have to miss out on the grand national

im also at a wedding that day so absolutely praying for a sunday game!

We have played before on grand National day.
Who knows what they will do really.
Just think with Arsenal potentially still in Europe Saturday would be the most logical
The national is a big operation for the police nowadays which means the game that weekend would be Sunday or Monday. They used to play the game early on the Saturday so folks could catch the game and then head for the races, and thats well before lunchtime fixtures came in.

Not arguing with you but we played a 3 pm ko on Grand National Day a couple of seasons ago . The only difference I noticed was seperating of fans from racegoers at Central Station.

Had n`t realized we played same day. With all the animal rights protesters causing disruption I`m surprised there would be enough police to look after the two events on the same day.

We have played the same day on a few occasions I'm fairly sure
We played a derby match at Anfield in the 70s on National day.

11am kick off I think and Fairclough scored the winner in injury time.

The National attendances were much smaller then and a lower proportion of local people attending than currently so the police could handle it.

I can remember a game against Portsmouth on a Saturday morning as well.
