David Coote

the fact that its “them”

it will be as usual “poor old liverpool”

the world hates them!!!

not that they get away with everything and anything and it’s never there fault
Martin Samuel has written a piece in the Times today which discusses the behaviour of managers/coaches/players against Refs and should people be surprised that the refs might have a dislike for people when subjected to that kind of treatment.
He does not defend Coote and says he has ended his career foolishly and makes reference to him being glassy eyed in the video.
Klopp’s behaviour is mentioned a couple of times in the article(as our other clubs and managers) but it is a well written article.

The one eyed Kopites don’t see it that way and have filled the comments section with conspiracy theories on institutional bias against them. One commenter said -:
“It’s like blaming the shop owner for someone who shoplifts from their shop”.

There’s no helping some people.

Honestly, Dominic King has came out and blamed the fella with the video not Coote (has condemned his actions).

Dominic King though, of all people.

All the comments are "he said he hates scousers, how can you be fine with it?"

The only person he's came out and fumed over is Klopp. He said Liverpool played bad (toned down), he said Milner was sound, and said Klopp was what he was and gave his reasoning.

Then the fella recording said "We hate scousers", not Coote.
No one has fact checked the record they've had, to say he's "bias". The video was clearly taken after Burnley H in 2020.

Well, I have.

As Referee:
P8 W6 D0 L2 - Red Cards 0

As VAR
P10 W6 D3 L1

In that time
3 red cards to opposition (1 2nd yellow)
2 Reds to LFC and no involvement in either
1 penalty to Liverpool.

So if they're questioning his integrity and he's been involved in 18 games and that's the record, I think they need to put their tears away.

This is it for me.

The issue here is the club he was talking about, along with the way it was done and the fact that he was obviously high. Yes, maybe another one of other more entitled sets of clubs would also have made it big news. It is not a newsflash to have somebody say they don't like somebody in their workplace.

Let us say it was a standard scheduled interview and the question was 'Is there any manager you don't like' and the answer was 'Klopp, he comes across as arrogant and I just can't speak to people that make up lies about me and verbally abuse me like he did' and then maybe adds a joke 'The last game, they didn't even play well'.

The authorities would not even bat an eyelid at that tone, well it would be less likely. Maybe they would still need to pander to the cult.

That's on the pitch. Away from it they even utter a word against the refs they get fined and rarely do it now. Are players and managers supposed to now take a moment and not contest decisions by officials who are the worst standard they've ever been at?

Of course they'll have a dislike for people they work with. But there's also a thing called professionalism.

Getting off your swede with some lad and randomly calling out a premier league manager is not professional. It's probably caused more harm than the odd manager having a go at the refs would ever do.

Also, strangely they don't seem to be drawing any attention to his performance on VAR in the last derby at A field when he again showed clear signs of bias against them by not sending of Konate

I honestly don’t see the issue here? He’s expressing an opinion, he’s not working whilst he doing it, he should be more diligent with his opinions and his mates though.

What has he actually done wrong?
I’d bet every referee has beef or doesn’t like certain players or managers or even certain grounds because of the abuse they get.

I can’t stand referees but im with you on this that he’s done nothing wrong! That’s not because it’s against Klopp but just because it was a question he answered the In his private life.

Actually think Coote couldn't intervene on a second yellow

That was just shambolic refereeing by Craig Pawson that.

But the record is there. Coote has known about that video being around for 3-4 years and yet his record doesn't imply any hatred or bias against Liverpool.

1 red card, 3 losses in 18 (against City, Arsenal and Brighton away no less).

The only thing he's guilty of is being an idiot. But the Klan have been set off now.

Does it surprise anyone that refs have opinions on managers and teams? Mike Deans a Tranmere fan allegedly, but like a lot of people on Wirral could support RS. VAR us when worse, you could quite easily have southern RS in Stockley Park. Not to bang on about her, but you wouldn't assume Melissa Reddy on SSN is a RS being from South Wales, but she is. Same applies with refs.
