2024/25 David Moyes

Honestly, what is wrong with West Ham fans? Who has told them that they are a big club? They are so lucky that the council gifted them a stadium otherwise they’d be back in the football league where they belong.
The only reason they’re talking about Moyes is because they’re insecure. They know they messed up and despite all their spending, they’re falling whereas we’re now climbing. Just pure insecurity, and I look forward to their continued collapse.

Clown alert:

I like Moyes, I would have had him back a few managers back. I'm sure he was being considered until Moshiri/Usmanov managed to get Ancelotti. However, we aren't going to be winning 4 games out of 6 until the end of the season. Moyes had some issues and unfortunate negative quirks and things he was less good at in his last spell and at west ham. For one, he kind of loved and died by his moyesy signings at west ham: soucek and Bowen. Stuck with soucek when he went poor for a long while and Bowen, very good, but good enough? Prolific enough?. He kind of had that at Everton as well...he stuck with his loyal character checked small nucleus of servants. I think he needs to have a bigger group of players he can call on and he needs to be prepared to think about selling them and rotating them at the right time. He never really had the funds at Everton, but his record with identifying strikers was patchy. Can't argue with his ability to spot a defender though, even if I was never the biggest fan of the likes of Dustin and Howard. Lescott, Jagielka, Baines and Coleman were obviously top notch.
I don't think we could realistically have got any better than Moyes for the situation we were in, and even if I do think there's an arrogant streak in him, it's kind of a humble non shouty arrogance 😅.

Soucek and Bowen are 2 of West Ham’s best players 😂 so they are poor shouts at using against him.

Bowen prolific enough? For a RW playing for a team like West Ham, scoring 8, 18, 8, 25 over the past 4 seasons if incredibly prolific.

I’d snatch your hand off for a RW that could score even 6-8 a season.

We`d be doing well to find a forward who can score 6- 8 a season

Proper gutted him in that post didn’t he.

The disinterested neutral part is bang on; drives me mental how many people had an opinion on Dyche and us but never ever watched us play.
There has never been so much "analysis", text and airtime dedicated to football and 99% of it is just surface-level garbage. Honestly, it mostly functions as soap-opera aimed at men.
