2024/25 David Moyes

I think many were like that in the first two years of Kendall’s first time here as manager with the attendances well down and many stopped watching and quite a few never came back.
The 1980s recession under Thatcher & co even in our glory years starting in 1985 - at first attendances & that was with terracing were down major industrial places were closing down .
Money was tight ..& that was with terracing too!

Well, Potter 11p in 9 games with a much better squad, Moyes 18 with in 11.

Moyes has done better but as bad as Dyche was he left a solid enough defensive structure. Moyes could just let them off the leash a bit because of how negative Dyche was.

Potter took over a team that had leaked goals all the time for the previous 18 months under Lopetegui and under Moyes last season. He's had to tighten them up.

Could be better, the problems today were closing down, pressing and transition with speed.

We struggled to win the ball back and when we did, the transition is too slow. Too many back pass after recovery. Slow everything down and make it easy for a slow west ham team.

Slow with the substitutions today....but got a point at the end which is probably about fair. Too many draws though...dyche would be proud.
