2024/25 David Moyes

We should be looking to win games. Your words. We have not won in the last six. Doucore did not feature in the last game we won.
We have nothing to play for, we have multiple players out of contract, I think just getting results is enough at this point.

A damp squib end to the season, Moyes and more importantly the players gave everything to give us this feet up run in.

Sure, lots of draws, but our attacking output has been poor recently.

I dunno what people expect, narrow defeat to The Champions, a decent draw against the team in 2nd place today, its not Champagne football, its just a tired group of players with 1 eye on the Summer.

So, again, I dunno what people expect.

Moyes is a victim of his own success.

Short memories.
Just a couple of months ago nobody would have expected anything other than heavy defeats from those last 2 games.

Nah it’s just not true this and this is what’s annoying. We drew away at Arsenal and the forum was absolutely full of people saying our performance was a disgrace. We draw at home and the same people want to make out like it’s an incredible result. For me it’s all about consistency, a draw was a good result then and it’s a good result now. I’m not blinded by whether I like the manager or not.

The way to see it, Dyche was brought in purely and simply to achieve survival during the ownership and financial turmoil of the past two years. Now that the ownership problem has been solved and there is light at the end of the financial tunnel, Moyes has been brought in to lay the foundations for a long term manager to come in and build upon.

I fully expect Moyes to see out next season and, possibly the one after that, but when his contract runs out, he will be replaced.

What a desperate attempt to look for a reason to criticise the manager.
I dont offer him the low bar some do.

The context was the all important thing: a depleted Arsenal team on the eve of their biggest game of the season and at Goodison made that a very winnable game for an Everton team in decent form.

Moyes does this to fans: dumbs them down to accept a point against a 'top' team at home.

You and others are under that spell again.

Not me...and many others besides.

Itls a new era that demands ambition.

Moyes I could stick for one more season, but after that he's going to be a drag on this club.

Elect.

As for Moyes being a victim of his own success: we've stunk as many games out as been decent in since he arrived. Everton knows it.

The Moyes dumb-down continues into his second period in charge at full pace sweeping up the easily impressed.

It is when there's f.a. to play for.

This is classic Moyes: instead of using the last few games of the season to blood younger players like any sensible manager would he plays senior pros, because he's all about Moyes not about the future of the organisation he's working in.

He's conservative and he's a boring get. That cardy he wore today is symbolic of what you get with that tartan drone.
Again, with respect, have you ever played the game?

Im very easily impressed, but it wouldnt have taken much after Dyche, Lampard and The fat kopite.

Moyes made a great start, its fizzling out now, but this isnt a great group of players and its still missing its best Striker.

So I probably wont study the next few games with any great vigour.

I am expecting this club to make some astute signings in the Summer and im hoping Moyes does, I dunno, will depend on the level of investment and the squad I think we have.

This April was never gonna be pretty, some tough games against some very good teams.

So for now consider me content, rather than impressed.
