David Weir

Worked extensively within their youth set up, has been highly praised for his role as Loan Manager before moving to higher roles.

Has worked extensively within their youth ranks and is part of overseeing new recruits through Blooms algorithm.

Whether he can be as successful without the algorithm is a complete different question.
What you’ve said is basically his roles at Brighton. But what are his successes? Why is he highly rated? I’m really not meaning to be argumentative, I just really don’t know what they are? I get the feeling people can attribute personal success to a good working model, when in fact they are just a small part of a good working system, which you sort of alluded to.

Blimey - job interview at 1am.

Look at Brighton, every signing in the past 4 years has been extensively researched by Weir.

Every single one. Any player you like, he's been involved in.

No interview mate. Just genuinely interested to get a grasp on exactly what his successes have been. From what you’ve been able to highlight so far, he’s just fitted in to a well working system.

I think you’re getting confused with Dan Ashworth there. Weir took control last summer and although it’s early days his signings haven’t exactly hit the ground running and they’ve paid a lot for them.
