In what sense sorry? I wouldnt have had Arteta over Carlo, but over Dyche, quite possibly.

What's your take mate?

I also dont have any idea of David Ancelottis in game management. He has no track record of this does he?

Apologies, I'm not sure if I'm missing something in the explanation. In terms of the specific question of Arteta last time, no I wouldnt have had him over Carlo.

Well if it was Carlo > Arteta > Bielsa/Dyche back then, you must have Davide Ancelotti as your favourite choice now then?

Just can’t fathom anyone thinking now is the right time to experiment with a complete unknown.

And I can't fathom why the same managerial merry go round of failures are the only names anybody considers.
All will say "they have Premier League experience". But ultimately they failed and got sacked.
We need to stop picking people heading back down the hill and appoint somebody trying to climb the hill.
I want Davide Ancellotti.

Didn't this all apply to Lampard?

Having followed his father to Spain to work under him at Real Madrid, it was rumoured that Davide would lead the team against Celta de Vigo in April 2022, following Carlo's COVID-19 diagnosis.[11] However, as Davide lacked a UEFA Pro licence at the time, he was unable to give the team instructions, despite being allowed to stand on the touchline.

Coaching Licence : UEFA A Licence

The UEFA Pro Licence is the highest coaching certification available in Europe and generally follows the completion of the 'B' and 'A' licences.[1] A Pro Licence is required for anyone who wishes to manage a football club in the top tier of any European nation's league system on a permanent basis, i.e. more than 12 weeks (the amount of time an unqualified caretaker manager is allowed to take control). Such a licence is also required to manage in the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League

Its very possible he has taken it tho.

The 30-year-old Italian has worked at PSG, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Napoli, and now Everton. Of course, it's unlikely these opportunities would have come without the help of a famous father, but Ancelotti Jnr speaks five languages (English, Italian, French, German and Spanish), has a degree in sports science and is a holder of the Uefa Pro Licence.

Ah ok, got you. I would have had Arteta as similar but different to where Dyche and Bielsa are now, but at the risk of me being pedantic, lets go with that list.

I think we are in greater trouble now than then, with less games, so shorter term pragmatism has to come into it. I'm not wholly sold on Davide Ancelotti, and I agree with your synopsis that it is highly risky. My point was more just to say, for those who point to Arteta now, Ancelotti has a a similar profile.

Theres probably a point in this, that being a club that if it messes up gets relegated just means you cant take those risks very easily. I dont know.

Are you on the Dyche train mate?

I think La Liga know better C.

Is this the kid who was born in 1989 and who has never managed a team in his life, let alone the most divided and troubled club in world football?

I know he did set-pieces with Duncan at one point, but that hardly qualifies him to guide us through the most tumultuous time in our club’s history.

Is this for real?
