Day to yourself

How would/do you fill a day to yourself ? I currently work Monday to Friday and have weekends off. My Mrs works every Sunday from 8-4.30 so I have a day to myself, I usually waste/enjoy it by having a lie in (after a few beers Saturday night), then I get up mid morning and make a coffee before lying on the sofa watching Del and Rodney on UKGold until the footy starts .. proper waste of a day really and I always promise myself it will be different next week… but it never is. Time to yourself is precious to be honest , how do you spend yours ? (Obvs not everyone here has a partner so I apologise if this don’t apply to you)
I'm not greedy, I usually share it with the other 8.23 billion Earthlings

I get pretty much every day to myself.
A lot of days I don’t see anyone else, let alone talk to them.
I’ve stopped bothering other people by attempting conversation as it often confuses/irritates them, not their fault. I must just come across as overly talkative to them, as I know it will probably be my only interaction of the day.
Have you thought of getting a dog mate ? It's good exercise and at least you meet people

Nah, hate the things, got bit as a kid, no fault of mine.
Can’t be doing with the constant teeth and barking. The one in the downstairs flat is bad enough, going mental whenever I walk around the flat upstairs, and barking/scrabbling at the door trying to get at me whenever I use the shared front door.
My nerves are shot from a previous not great relationship, so really can’t handle the sudden noises and harassment from them. Couldn’t afford to feed one anyway.

After lunch I spend a while clearing up the shed, after whatever it was I was doing, ambling around the garden or wipe bird poo off a car, before contemplating mid afternoon tea, a bit more music and, if I think I earned it, maybe a biscuit with a bit more music. Maybe I'll light a pipe.

Then I contemplate tea (dinner) while looking to see if the grass has grown.

The rest of the day I waste watching the tv both the missus and I can tolerate together - which at least cuts down on the endless conversation about whatever.

And then bed, thinking about the days stolen from me before I retired.

Sniff it.
This just sounds like you go around wiping bird poo off any car - unless you have loads of cars

Wake up, bathroom.

Make coffee, take it back up to bed and a chapter or 2 of the latest Sexton Blake yarn. 1984-1984-set-photo.webp

Ablutions, and head downstairs.

2nd cup of coffee and decide on breakfast.

An hour of TV news, and check out the latest on here.

Depending on the weather, may go out for a mooch around the shops and another coffee.

Browse the watch shops and lust over that IWC or Omega that I can never afford.

Pick up a couple of books at Waterstones, espionage thriller and something factual ( usually history)

Train home and into my local spoons for a pint and meal deal.

Back home, contact lenses out, and relax with Netflix until bedtime.

Love being on my own some days.

23hr bang ups in solitary are the hardest part of a prison sentence. Hang in there pal.

Do you have any hobbies or anything?
Lots of running, walking or general fitness clubs etc about lately. Would be a good way to get yourself out there and interacting with people.

I’m sure there’s loads of other kinds of groups and stuff if that isn’t your thing.
