De Jong completes £18m move

Good player, I'd love him here. I mentioned him as a possible signing in the summer.

He's not worth 18 million though, not a chance. And he's also had injury problems this season, he's hardly played.

18 million pounds for Nigel de Jong? The world really has gone mad. Unbelievable, think de Jong is a good player, but certainly not more than that. If City think they can become the dominant force in world football with players like Bridge, Bellamy and de Jong, they are even more deluded than the ones who run the show at St.James' Park.

What a muppet;

Everybody knows that I would like to play for a big club eventually. I count Manchester City in that category.

Hamburg are 2 points off the top of the Bundesliga, finished 4th last season, have been playing Champs League football and have a bigger stadium...

I think he meant - "Everybody knows that I would like to earn 120k a week eventually. I can't count how much money I'll make at Man City".

Come on Moyes, try to offload AvdM to the more money than brains ones. Tell them they can sign him instantly for a fee of 15 million GBP or risk having to sign him on a free in the summer.:dodgy:

Can't blame a guy for trying.(y)

City do have a lot of potential, they could be "potentially" be a top four team. De Jong is a good signing, money doesn't really matter to them.

Do agree with that they have a good team on paper. Not to sure about them being a "potentially" top four team. Think the Sky four are still some way ahead of them. Don't think they have a better team than us or Villa. Think Spurs also have a better squad than City. Signing players like Kaka, could help them break into the to four, don't think that goes for players like de Jong and Bellamy.

There squad will improve over the next few seasons though, it'll keep getting better and better. They can attract the majority of players in the world, nearly getting Kaka proved that.

I'm not worried about them now but I can see the potential there, hopefully they find a way to mess it up.
