There squad will improve over the next few seasons though, it'll keep getting better and better. They can attract the majority of players in the world, nearly getting Kaka proved that.

I'm not worried about them now but I can see the potential there, hopefully they find a way to mess it up.

It's not that I don't agree with you and I know they have the money to improve their squad. It's just that the signings that they're making at the moment surprises me a bit.

Also they pay way above the players true market value. But as you said, money is the least they have to worry about.

They are getting players who will work there socks off though, something there squad lacks. It's about getting the right balance, the likes of Bellamy and De Jong will give there all and that's needed in relegation battles.

Once they've got over this I think we'll see bigger and more high profile signings. I hope I'm wrong but I can see them building strong in the next two years.

What a muppet;

Hamburg are 2 points off the top of the Bundesliga, finished 4th last season, have been playing Champs League football and have a bigger stadium...

I think he meant - "Everybody knows that I would like to earn 120k a week eventually. I can't count how much money I'll make at Man City".

is right Scottoffee, is right.

The music is gonna stop at some point.

When? I don't know but transfer fees just cannot continue at this rate of inflation.

Seriously.

Hamburg must be laughing all the way to the bank. They could of bought him for 1.5 million in the summer! 18 million! Good player but not worth that amount.

De Jong - very good player

but never worth £18m

If he's £18m the Artetea must be £30m by the same standards.

£8m tops for a good, but sometimes very careless player.

They must be paying for potential

Agree....

Unless the footballing ruling powers start issuing transfer caps(worldwide)there's gonna be a huge imbalance, hence the 'rich' and the 'poor'...I'll let City off this one, as I'm quite certain it'll end in tears..
FIFA need to think of something that'll hopefully bring a more level playing to everyone and I mean everyone.
If the big clubs don't want to play ball, tell them to [Poor language removed], cause I can guarantee any break-away league wouldn't last a couple of years..(n)

18 million pounds for Nigel de Jong? The world really has gone mad. Unbelievable, think de Jong is a good player, but certainly not more than that. If City think they can become the dominant force in world football with players like Bridge, Bellamy and de Jong, they are even more deluded than the ones who run the show at St.James' Park.
Agreed...why oh why do managers pay cash money for the wastrel that is bellamy?? the world as you say has gone mad.

waste of money. good player but not someone they couldnt wait untill the summer for to then pay a Tenth of what was now paid.
plus i'm not sure that he's a the player city need, theyve already got kompany in that position and hes been one of their best three performing players, not sure how hughes is going to handle it
