How bad has it got now? I used to listen a good few years ago but stopped because of the above

So bad. Full of jingles, tangents about how wacky Pete is, adverts, and such blatant placements for all the other shows they've started to produce.

Take that away and I reckon from a 50 minute podcast you'll get 10 minutes coherent chat. Oh and they've also been on tour and spend a lot of time trying to sell tickets for that as well.

Shame like because I did love it back in the day.

I pretty much only listen to comedy. If I wanted to hear people boring on about history I'd hang around with my footy mates more

Adam Buxton
Richard Herring's RHLSTP
Ed Gamble and Matt Crosby's Radio X show
Elis James and John Robins
Elis James' Feast of Football (I skip the RS love heavy ones)

Been trying Athletico Mince and Pappy's flat share but may drop both as I'm listening to both on 1.4 speed just to make it through before I find them a bit tedious.

If you like Daft humour "Athletico Mince" by Bob Mortimer and some other fella called Andy or Andrew or something.

It was originally meant to be a football pod but it's not just those two arsing about with the odd football feature now and again.

"Peter Beardsley" leaves them a message now and again (starting on episode 50) and the "Gangs of the EPL" usually raises a chuckle, and not just because of Santi Carzolas Laughter emporium.

Marc Maron is a good one depending on who he has.

Casefile is the best true crime one going. Doesn’t just focus on murders and stuff like that. Get on the one he does on the Silk Road.

BBC world service has some great ones. The series on Ruben carter is fantastic.

Also, get on podrot and listen to the old Ricky gervais XFM shows. Hours of gold there.

Neil Hunt the Nonsense Potter has been a marvellous new creation of Bob's on this.

For Everton podcasts, I can listen to the lads on The Unholy Trinity. The Alan Myers ones seemed to be more about him than the guests, while the Everton Business Matters comes across as management office bingo with all the cliches. Fair play to the View From the Gwladys Srewwr lads, they all seem decent but on current listening I’m just siding with the Unholy Trinity.. Maybe because like me they haven’t knee jerked on Silva out in the past few weeks and talk about moments in the game from players that I’ve seen myself but not widely covered elsewhere.

But, I have to say from the many podcasts on Everton I hear, Gav Buckland is superb...his recent book was fascinating and his yeah, yeah, yeah response to many questions coupled with his encyclopaedic knowledge of past goals and games makes him a great listen on many shows. Just my opinion at the moment!

There's an 8 part BBC podcast called The Missing Cryptoqueen, im up to episode 5 and it's pretty decent. Some very shady characters making ridiculous amounts of money and scamming thousands and thousands of people.

Worth a listen even if you know nothing about cryptocurrency.

just finished listening this, thanks for recommending mate, enjoyed it
