I've no reason to be dejected.

My hope at the start of the season was to be comfortable going into enjoying the last game at Goodison and have nothing riding on it.

Ask me again when the summer transfer window shuts and if we again don't have a penny to spend, then I'll be dejected.

If we win our next league game, we are 13th above Spurs & Man Utd. We will climb above West Ham who have spent hundreds of millions.

Whilst I'm not a huge fan of the current manager, it does appear he's given the squad a new lease of life and there's huge reasons to feel positive, and very few panic buys to cause me stress.

Great post earlier in the thread about Moyes being the best signing of the window. Three out of four and even Beto's scoring.

I wasn't overjoyed by Moyes2.0 but so far so good. Only our striker situation bothers me as Beto seems quite capable of injuring himself well before getting anyway near a football pitch.

But in fairness to Moyes first spell he was always happy for goals to be a shared responsibility. I'm not surprised to see us using corners and Tarks, Jarrod etc pressing up. Garner (who whipped in a couple of beauties vs Leicester) can add from deadballs, Doucs, Ndiaye have goals in them obviously. It's our wide players who disappoint me most, Lindstrom and Harrison are Championship players and I think Myko was lucky to see us not press harder for Chilwell whom I thought was ideal for us. In lieu of that I was sort of keen to see if a cheeky little end of season deal for Willian could be done whilst Dwight recovers. Not to be.

In our narrow and gritty Moyes midfield we must trust.

Now that the dust has settled, getting the injured players back is the number one priority.

It will be interesting to see whether the media up their game and ask for proper injury updates in press conferences going forward.

Crucial to get DCL, Broja, Chermiti and McNeil back playing so I’d like to see more clarity from the club - at present the injury updates are disconcertingly vague.

The predictions are for Chermiti and McNeill to be back for the Brentford game then DCL back for the Wolves game. Whether thats only on the grass they haven't said.
