All depends on those bonus clauses. If they are high clauses for goal contributions or league position over the next 2.5 seasons, then we might be thrilled if we have to pay them. If not the initial fee is low risk, albeit will be tough to swallow if he totally bombs out.

Click bait for Sky. To pay that 40 million he would probably have to play more games than you possibly could do in a 2 and half year contract and win some cups and the league and he would have to be absolutely boss which is awesome for us. We cannot lose either way.

In reality, Everton are paying nothing and will only be paying 12 million when he reaches 20 games which is an impossibility this season as there are only 18 left and he is cup tied in the FA Cup. Don't let SSN spoil what is a fantastic deal for us blues.
