But given the structure of the deal and he's someone the Manager has identified, plus he's keen to come here I'm intrigued about what he may offer us.

Im on the fence about this signing to be honest.

I mean if we get the player he was three seasons ago - wow.

But the doubt and concern is why isn’t he the player he was three seasons ago.

Thing for me is that Lampard wants him and wants him for a reason.

The two have/had similar traits in the game. He'll want to get something out of him

In fairness to Kenwright, that's a good deal he got from Levy on this one, it's pretty much risk free for us. He's cup tied, so he can't possibly play enough games in order for us to pay anything until early next season. We pay 10 million euros then and the rest is dependant on targets over the length of his contract. If we end up paying the full 30 mill it means we have got prime Deli Alli on our hands, that player would be worth more than double what we had paid.

He's not on the Premier League site that I can see... I see 24 on there including James and Lucas Digne. So minus those 2 would give us three spaces, Mykolenko would add 1 so 2 free spaces for VDB and Dele Alli

I’d be tempted to play Holgate and Godfrey at full back, tell them not to cross the half way line, and let the front 5 do all the attacking
