I do not understand why anyone has any faith in Deli ali and the entire transfer was another EFC cock-up.

This is a bloke who was rejected by 4 Spurs managers, this is a bloke who is over-weight and unfit, a bloke
whose position is unclear, who is a yellow card merchant who has slowed-up. Why in God's name is he not fit?
He was training all season at Spurs and has trained with EFC yet he is still overweight, clumsy and cannot nail a spot in
a team where Iwobi is a starter? Where does he play in a 4-3-3 system?

I really would play Dobbin ahead of him coz Dobbin can ran fast and has a future whereas Deli is slow and has a fashion shoot
to attend to that the Sun is covering.

This transfer is on the same level as Tosun.

Another player not getting games that people are judging without them even being on the pitch.

Its a bit strange.

To be honest he is not wrong. While the work rate of the entire team increase under Lampard, Dele is still very much lagging behind. Casual at times. Our team can only survive with hardwork. He seems a misfit under Lampard’s high pressing game.

Dele needs to improve the way iwobi did.

I think people have seen more than enough over the past 3 years. A miracle isn't going to occur where he suddenly falls in love with Everton and decides he wants to play football again. Obviously going without saying that if he does stay and turn it around, I'd love nothing more than you quoting this post in 6 months and embarrassing me.

Even moreso as this is one by all accounts one the manager really wanted, Lampard doesn't strike me as someone who'd push to bring someone in he didn't have a definite plan for.

In terms of how we need to recruit, younger players who have the ability to push on and players who are still youngish but have had a bad period of form to drop their value, he fits that latter model perfectly.

Key thing is desire in both those, from what I'm seeing Lampard can motivate players startlingly well in some cases (Iwobi prime example), think he's betting on doing that with Dele

We can't buy 'proven' top level quality, we have to by the nature of our position financially and in the pecking order of teams, shop smarter.

Be interesting how we'd have viewed transfers of the past initially if the net was a thing back then (Reid, Gray etc)

The internet would have viewed both awfully. One would have been viewed a crock, the other way past his best.

Surely the only way he can improve is by playing?

For me he's been fine whenever he's played.

To be fair people said the same when Lookman, Klaassen, Kean etc weren’t playing and each time it turned out something was off.

I think it’s fair enough people look what’s happened to his career and what happened at Spurs and make judgements

The thing is that he has been on the pitch and he has been so bad other than one worldie pass to Roldan that
he cannot be picked. He looks so unfit that it makes me wonder what training comprises.

The team has signed another problem in Deli. We are finally getting rid of Tosun this summer and have replaced him by a bloke who shares
exactly the same characteristics. Only EFC or NUFC were the mugs likely to buy these damaged goods but NUFC were smarter.

If results go right for us to tonight, I hope we have him as a starter for the rest of the season. We have no idea what we have at the moment in him.
Give him some minutes, build some confidence, and then see what we have.
I believe he will be more of a starter next year. Still of the belief he has been brought in as a replacement for Richalison. Or if Richalison stays and plays through the middle, then take his place on the left.

It's obvious he doesn't want to play football. OK, he's a professional, but he's just going through the motions, doing the minimum. Wherever his heads at it isn't playing football for Everton.

I'd start him in one of the remaining games regardless
