That's the other issue I see. Can DCL and Alli start together? I'm not sure how we balance the team that way

Dele and DCL can only be starting together in a formation that allows Dele to play just off him.

We can't do 352 as it removes Gordon, Gray and McNeil.

We could to 4231/433 but I would really hold off on that until we have a new CM.

Until then it's 343 with 1 of Dele or DCL through the middle. Has to be DCL for me for the time being.

Having one goalscorer in the squad and deciding against picking him would be very Everton though, so you can't rule that out.

...At the start of the second half we even lined up with Rondon on the left. Alli could play in a 3-5-2 right up alongside DCL...

I don't see Rondon starting - so we might see.

I wish we could do 1963 maybe 1966 or 1970, then again 1985 or 1987 would be fine even 1995 would fit in fine not forgetting 1984!!

He is quality. Will be a massive asset this season. Always tries to do something positive and bring others into it.

As an inverted winger, ghosting centrally, I think he cause trouble with overlapping wing backs and trying to feed McNeil on the other side.

High hopes this season

I think a lot of the better one touch football came when him and Mcneil were on, Patterson got more involved as well

I think with wing back bombing on and linking up with Iwobi and McNeil with a good base at the back it could turn out to be a better season than expected.
