He’s a good footballer, we’ve just got to rekindle his form. He played a great ball for Richarlison which culminated in what should have been a penalty.

He could have started in front of Iwobi. Against lesser opposition they might drop Allan or DVB and play him in a midfield 3So I’ll put your question back to you, who should he be starting in front of?
Could have but the manager decided one of Everton’s most widely derided players of the last 6 years should start before him (not to mention he isn’t a wide / right winger)He could have started in front of Iwobi. Against lesser opposition they might drop Allan or DVB and play him in a midfield 3

The centre half’s a crucial, if you don’t have faith in your defenders haw can you attack with conviction. We aren’t as far off as we think. He shouldn't with the formation we played today. Eventually, when we have a bit more backbone, and Keane is sent to Derby County or Stockport or some other god forsaken place, we can allow Douc, Allan and Donny to rotate with Alli in front of them. Probably next season's formation.
if we have a solid defence he will have a better license to play his and our gameHe’s a good footballer, we’ve just got to rekindle his form. He played a great ball for Richarlison which culminated in what should have been a penalty.

I agree, if He had Van Dyck beside him he would be fine but he can’t lead and Holgate isnt experienced enough. That tells me we need an overhaul at the back. We're basically playing 3 defensive midfielders at the moment because of Keane. Shambles.

Off topic slightly, but a fit Mina paired with a new centreback in the summer and we'll see a lot more of Alli.
A fit what? More chance of Lampard putting his boots back on
