2022/23 Dele Alli

I think he may leave for the MLS or maybe a lucrative deal somewhere in the Middle East, a few years ago it would have been China.

He still is a big name in football but his career as a serious footballer seems over.

It is possible that Dyche might try to get him to rescue his career, but the attempt may prove costly for us so I doubt it will happen.
Ironically the deal brokered between Spurs and Everton has severely hampered any chance of Everton trying to get his career back on track and unless Spurs are prepared to renegotiate the deal I think he is finished here.

Dyche has never had the opportunity to work with someone of the potential of Dele Alli while at Burnley.
I don't see it happening but it certainly would be a different calibre of player to anything he had before.

But Dyche values the key principles before anything. Working hard and being a part of the group.

Dele Alli is not a team player, he doesn't work hard. All that 'potential' he had, is no longer there.

Dele Alli represents everything polar opposite to what Dyche looks for in a player.

Players by definition have to want to play. That can be a game of football or a game of fortnite. Dele seemingly has made his choice. Although I don't like the deal or the fallout thereafter, but we were all quaking in our boots last year thinking we were doomed, his deal was worth it for the palace assist that kept us up.
We have to concentrate on more goals like that of Sims on Saturday, and so Dyche can command and conquer the bottom half of the league and lead us to safety. Mercenary footballers are a resident evil in modern footy, but this is what civilization has lead to. For every waster there's a street fighter to get behind, Dele's contract is just past its half life, and it seems his time in Turkiye has lost its halo. Here's hoping this season we won't be left for dead.

If anyone can get Dele back it’s Sean Dyche

Keith Treacey was down and out till Dyche got a hold of him; drink problems, gambling , mental health the lot - I think his man management style might help Dele as well - seriously wouldn’t be surprised

For context - Howe was Dyche’s predecessor at Burnley and casted Treacey out and left him to rot

After hearing what the likes of Trippier think of Dyche, it has crossed my mind that he could do him a world of good. The problem is a £10m shadow looming over Alli. If Dyche had 20 games to try and get a tune out of him (unlikely imho) he might have a chance but the reality is he’s got 7 games.
Maybe we’ll see him in preseason but I think he done and gone from Everton tbh.

No.

Isn't it the case that we only pay if he hist a certain amount of games played.
From what I can see, he has a history of being half arsed in training.
Might be an opportunity to for Dyche to take him back and see what his attitude is like in training.
If he's tearing up trees maybe he gets a chance, if he continues in his old ways, it's MLS in the summer.

Cant remember the exact details, but its sommet like £10m every 20 games, up to the full £40m. Wages aside, he hasnt cost us a penny yet.
