He clearly has talent, nobody can argue that point but when you look at it objectively he is actually quite a limited player. To see the best of him he needs to be played in a very specific position and the team almost needs to be built around him. Most teams now play with a 3 up top and so his role just off the front man just isn't required in the modern game. There is also the issue of him and the fact that at Spurs (no idea if it's been an issue here or not) he was defo prioritising his social life at times.
