Wonder if the links of Godfrey to Spurs would be something involving Dele as well? Maybe £10m + cancel out any payments due for Dele, would be a cheap option for Spurs. Really think Dele could influence this team in a role similar to Doucoure, he's got far more ability than him.

Cant see us selling Godfrey and using the cash on Dele.

I think we have enough games (7?) before his clause triggers to use him if/when needed by season end.

Then the cash would be used for a replacement. Hopefully another branthwaite.

Wouldn't be surprised if that's something that has at least been considered internally.

I've still got a gut feeling that he's being earmarked for a February return..

Think Spurs would get more game time and resell value off Godfrey then we would from Dele. We'd feel shafted again!

Well we have 6-7 "free" games, so if he does manage to get fit/get his head right then I wouldn't be surprised to see those fulfilled.

Exactly this. Too many people forget to include huge salary costs on fat contracts. Dele should be set free

Thankfully, by the time June rolls around we will then be rid of pretty much all the deadweight, bar Keane and Godfrey, and I bet one of them gets sold in the summer.
