Any chance you can make a bid for Ayoze Perez? He's superb, honestly!

Assuming youre a Leicester fan.

Can you believe theres 90+ pages in a thread about Demarai Gray joining Everton -- with alot of positive posts?

I bet you thought he would have (and should have) sunk to oblivion...

I mean £1.5m on a 25-year-old who does genuinely lack what we need in terms of raw attributes is by no means an awful deal though.

That's with the proviso that we go and get some genuine quality in - but to do that, we're going to need to sell players.

We're skint. There's no getting around that.

This signing does one thing.

It tells me Gordon and none of the u23 players are considered as being able to fill positions in the first team squad.

Very disheartening.

If we assume we're playing Richarlison this season as either LW/RW, then it means we've only got Townsend/Richarlison/Gray as wingers, if Bernard leaves as well as Iwobi (or Iwobi plays more centrally, which he may be more suited to).

Plenty of opportunity then for the likes of Gordon as a back-up winger.

If were playing with 2 wide players then 3 of them need to be high quality. We have one high quality wide player in Richarlison.

Townsend and Gray (potentially) must have been targeted for a reason. For me that reason has to be backup and if so then it pushes Gordon down the ladder.

All the while we still lack 2 high quality wide players.

Probably why they have recent league title and fa cup in the cabinet...

Or just that they are not good enough

Gordon for one couldn’t get into a Preston team on a regular basis

…possibly, but let’s not forget Ross Barkley struggled for game time when out on loan with Neil Warnock in the Championship but a short while later was a full England international. Points are vital for these clubs and Managers will trust players who play to orders.

Gordon has the talent and decent physicality that gives him a chance, I suspect it’s attitude, character and a lack of arrogance that might be his downfall. Time will tell.

And Barkley struggles for game time everywhere he has been

My guess with Gordon is they would rather send him out on loan and hopefully get him a pretty much full season somewhere rather than sitting on the bench for most of the season here.
He needs a good loan.

The Preston loan was unfortunate. The fans really took to him, but when the manager changed, so did the system and he didnt fit.

I think he could flourish with the right loan and be an important player next season, perhaps replacing one of the stop gap players. That would be actual succession planning.
