There are cases where players join teams for starting roles over squad roles at better sides.

Either way, we need to move Gray on this summer and hopefully someone sees him perform in the premier league and uses a counter attacking style where he may he worth a decent punt.

There is mate, and I agree there is cases, but it’s very much the minority now. He will look at Elliot and say he will have the same pathway.

Yeah I'd keep him. I mean he was good first half of the season and surely at this stage of his career he realises he needs to be a regular somewhere. He was bench warming for years at Leicester so he's already down the squad player earning millions at mid table prem club routine.

Him one side and Gordon the other is a decent starting point to attack the championship. Just need to get the number 10 and CF positions right......easy.

Has there been a case where a player decided to stay in the championship instead of taking substantially more money to join a premier league and champions league challenging club?
