Done the same at Leverkusen.

Magic for 4-6 weeks then just a few flashes.

Having said that, he's a very good signing and someone who should be good for us as part of a group of 4 wingers.

Shows the utter state the club is in when we've spent 80m (excluding the additional 300-odd million on about 15 other utterly woeful players) on disaster signings of wingers Bolasie Walcott and Iwobi who, for the money at least, ought to have help push us to the Champions League, yet here we are mourning the loss of Gray who was brought in to be a rotation player at best!

Very poor recruitment.

However, due to injuries we now have an opportunity to keep Gordon at left wing so he gains more experience.

Theres no excuse now not to be giving Onyango, Dobbin and Branthwaite minutes in the team.

The worst that can happen is that we pick up the same results.

The best that can happen is that the energy and desire from the young players rubs off on the rest of the team and pushes us over the line.

Yep, another muscular injury. They aren't doing enough flexibility and yoga work perhaps, every little helps.

Could understand if he'd been playing every 3 days but it's been once a week since the end of September and he's just had a two-week break.

Can't legislate for impact injuries - Doucoure, Richarlison etc. The rest. It's not just bad luck.

Nah its sound mate, Benitez behind the scenes was fuming so brought in his own conditioning coach to stop these injuries.

It's a shame Gray is out with one, Davies has a knee in a brace, Mina who was training a week ago still isn't fit, DCL still out for an extended lay off and no news on that slight calf injury Gomes picked up against QPR.

But he's worked wonders and got Delph playing 1 and a half ames on the spin ( Sunday doesn't count as Delph didn't fancy it AT ALL and put in a bottlers performance )

Fitness takes time to build up, you can’t just flick a switch and a player becomes fit, it’s kind of why we bother with pre-season. Our injuries are nothing to do with the fitness coach that’s been here two weeks, make no mistake about that.

Tbf Mac, I am fully behind Benitez tearing up the medical department.

Honestly, I'm really warming to him as being a DoF. He's just a very poor manager.
