He didn’t say good luck or congrats though did he?
He said ‘makes sense’ to leave Everton.
So it’s open to interpretation quite what he means, or what ‘makes sense’ for a highly thought of prospect to leave.
Makes sense because ISS would never make it, so take the offer?
Or makes sense to leave Everton because you’re too good for this outfit?
Don’t think anyone would argue that in actual fact it does make sense for him to go to Chelsea and likely earn more money.
However that sort of sentiment is best kept private imo, or it runs the risk of being interpreted as a slight on the club (whether intended or not). Which it has been by a number of the fans.

If thats how you amd others interpret it, then fair enough. For me, it was just a congratulatory post to a former teammate, but each to their own

Well he’s only just finished a tournament, if the Saudis don’t want him maybe Fulham who will have money from the mitrovic sale and have lost Willian and wide player gone to spurs they had in loan. Or maybe palace if Zaha goes

Not sure it matters if he was playing in a tournament. His agent and his support team will be working away and driving any possible move. Just seems odd there is no nothing as it always gets out, probably deliberately

Just to play devil's advocate, off the top of my head, Gray's delivery saved us from relegation two seasons ago. And he definitely got us a point at City this past season

Yeah, but how many times has he slowed attacks, not passed to better places opponents, not tracked back?

Scoring a goal and putting in a free kick in 2 years is not a good contribution.

I would hope that his replacement would be able to contribute more.

Ha, you beat me to it my friend..my reply to Mike’s post referred to Kanchelskis, who I was definitely a fan of. But Kanchelskis played in a side with strikers on the pitch, and that gives defenders something else to think about and therefore allows openings for wingers.
I do however wish we could swap Gray, or anyone else in the team, for a young Kanchelskis. Or even an old Kanchelskis!
