He’s just so one footed. You see it in his play all the time but it was highlighted by his shot yesterday. Thiago Silva is lumbering back, all his weight is on his front foot even he’s probably thinking “I’m about to look a knobhead here” because all Gray had to do is cut onto his left but he doesn’t and that’s that.

Most players get a shot on target there with their left (Richarlison probably scores) or they slide it to the bloke arriving late but Gray just hasn’t got the confidence in his left foot.
 



Really starting to properly dislike him now. Constantly gets our best chances and ruins them. Had a good patch the start of last season and he’s been living off it since, pace is the only thing he has and he only uses it when he’s arsed which isn’t often.
 
I’d love to see his stats for that game, (can one of you matrix enthusiasts give me some?) It seemed as if he lost possession every time he got on the ball. His first touch is beginning to look expensive for what we paid as well, not scored in 8 months…. We desperately need a striker so this fella is sat on his arse awaiting his destiny as an impact sub
