WHU executive has stated he may sign for Everton. Looks as though LCAB has been correct throughout, - it also just goes to show that a genuine source can lay stuff onto people, and it can fall through. (this may well go tits up.).

Cheers for the info bro' it's nice to have some light on a transfer at Everton when it seems every other club fans get to know what their team are doing.

Just a suggestion LCAB - what you coudl do is ask a mod to pin a seperate thread of yours and lock it, and you can just update it how you please + change hte title to the latest update date, that waty you wont get peolpe asking you how close Everton are to signing Messi and you can still provide alot of genuine people who are happy for the info with some news.

We wouldn't be paying a transfer fee would we? So 2mill to his agent is basically a transfer fee.

Makes sense, were not going to get him entirely for free. But if we cant afford that then move on.

Problem is that Danny prefers each transfer rumour to have its own thread, so if it has legs it takes off, if it doesn't well, the thread dies. It also saves tons of time looking through the thread. Its a point of view and he has more power to make that decision, so the idea would be a non starter.

Personally, I like the idea, but from various posts this appears to be the reason that it won't happen.

You could already have a new thread created (or bumped) based on the information given though. I understand what your saying but the way i see is that lCAB is more than happy to give the information out providing he gets no bother about it and a bunch of irrelevant questions.

Each rumour can still have it's own thread, just any information tha comes from LCAB will just be one single post, locked and stickied. LCAB can edit the post, put ethj latest info in and change the thread title to (example) Demba Ba at Goodison today updated 15/06/2011)

You'd still have the Demba Ba thread though, and you'd have the chat here. It's why the LCAB summary thread was a great idea becuase it just allowed us to see teh updates. You could have that just without all the commotion.

Heck you may even get some conversation about Ba as a player..

Understand perhaps it's not ideal, but it's a possible solution that makes every happy.

I'm not a mod. I'm only trying to summarise the debate from what I've seen. Personally I think its a great idea and won't detract from individual threads as I'm sure we'll have loads to talk about, whether a player comes through the door or not.

But that appears to be how the cookie crumbles.
