Look at how little money has been put into strenghtening the playing staff at Everton over the last couple of years, despite the sales of Lescott, Rodwell and Arteta.

Depressing really since a club like Tottenham will spend close to 50 mil this summer even before the sale of Bale.

R.e. Tottenham, I reckon Levy is trying to do his transfer business before Bale is sold. Afterwards, with close to £100 million in the bank, everyone will be jacking up their prices if Spurs come calling.

Though they do constantly outspend us, regardless.

tbf only the Arteta sale seems off. Based on that site the Lescott money paid for Bily, Distin, and heitinga and the Rodwell money paid for Pienaar, Stones, Mirallas, and Oviedo. Still a bit depressing that we lack the extra investment
