Oh come on? Anthony Worral Thompson? Ramsay is successful end of discussion really. He has Michellin stars everywhere, and he is not a bully he just want's people to be successful in what they do, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to be more then mediocre, lets be honest that's what Everton have been before Moyes took over - same thing, just different approach.

Reminds me of my History teacher. I saw him almost assault a kid for being a [Poor language removed] and not listening, everyone was scared of him. I enjoyed History and excelled in it, and this teacher became my favourite teacher and I learned more because of it.

Another thing about Ramsay is that he is bringing his kids up to understand the true value of life. Ok so they live in a modest house, but he doesn't spoil them and they get very little presents at Christmas because he wants them to learn the value of treats. I know many kids have it all before they are 10 and they become brats.

I know Ramsay can come across as aggressive, and protective over his food, but thats only because he knows food and knows what makes good dishes. You give me a chef who isn't protective over his menu and I will say he is the head chef at any McDonalds in the nation.

I've studied Ramsay for a while and he has put up with so much crap from chef's including Pierre White, he is at the top of his game and I think he is an inspiration to anyone who is starting their own business, be it in the kitchens or life in general.

Monty, I would like to see evidence of how he has physically threatened food critics, just for my own information really.

Read Michael Winner and the guy from the Times are just two. Ghost you are by no means alone in your adoration of him, I disagree because I hate bullies of all sizes or backgrounds, and he is a bully FACT to coin a phrase! As for Worral Thompson, he is a pimple on the arse of humanity and should be treated as such!(y)

Well Michael Winner is a cock, and deserves to be bullied. :)
I just don't think he is a bully, he just wants things done a certain way, but in general he is not out to destroy people he just wants them to be successful.

But, if he is a bully its no thanks to his father who was an absolute [Poor language removed] by all accounts. Can you see Ramsay being the same to his kids?

He is a bully, I would spank him everywhere. Go me.

He wouldnt last two days in any sort of management role these days, HR guidelines would have him [Poor language removed].

And he played for Rangers.

Well I disagree, he is a great motivator, gets results and doesn't let a little thing like bollocks get in the way.

Remember on Kitchen Nightmare's when this guy had a Beamer with the reg A1 Chef, and he was [Poor language removed]. Ramsay is like a god to me outside of the music and footy world, so I will not have a word said against him.

His life was shockingly poor until he hit his teens, really rough up bringing. He as gone from rags to riches, worked harder then most of us will ever do to get where he is now, if he has an ego its [Poor language removed] deserved.

There. :)

"Lazy lemon...more like lazy [Poor language removed]"

quality.

im a ramsey fan, his commitment to proper properly made is testament to him. yeah hes a bit bolshi but i dont know many chefs that are all P's and Q's in the kitchen, especially when the [Poor language removed] starts falling. 150 covers friday then the same saturday - hard work.

bully? im not so sure, he puts himself in failing kitchens where standards are none existent and tries to turn them around.

sometimes he gets frustrated because the people he tries to help ignore him or lie to him, he gets so pissed at them because he cares.

if he didnt give a toss he could sit at home counting his millions.

as for pierre white, he was trained by greats from a previous era, the roux brothers being notable. he (MPW) is responsible for training ramsey and heston blumenthal who are both michelin star winners in their own right.

i like whittingstall for his convictions to real local food and the lifestyle.
stein for his enthusiasm for local foods and being such a fish connoisseur.
ramsey for his passion and dedication to perfection.
floyd for being a quality geezer (quick slurp) thats been in the trade for decades and still loves cooking (and wine)

I've met Floyd, he stank of piss, nice(y)

could have been the garlic.

he should have rubbed it all over him, it would have helped. He was at a bloody book signing as well, some actually put the books back, tosser, if the wife hadn't had wanted one I'd have left(y)

You see Ramsay is the bollocks when it comes to chef like status. Does he go on Ready Steady Cook? Do you see him on This Morning? Nope, because he is busy trying to make other people's lives better, good on him.

Suits, I am so made up you are with me 100% on Ramsay, he is my sole inspiration.

i know a few things about ramsay, i know his dad was a drunk and walked out after getting a bit physical over some years.

i know he has had to exile his brother from his children because hes a drunk and is (gordons brother) his fathers son.

i know he has a very fit wife, especially considering her age and 4 kids. yee-haa!

a driven, committed, man. i know a few, and appreciate the trait in ramsay.

I think Gordon Ramsey is brilliant. I love his shows, we watch them all on BBC America and we watch his Hell's Kitchen over here. And finally, they are doing an American version of Kitchen Nightmares, starring The big man himself.

He cooks so much amazing stuff, to such a high quality.

And remember he has multiple '3 Michelin Star' restaurants.

american failing restaurants under ramsays tutelage?

in the terms of bernard mathews, boodaful.

i sense a DL coming on :D

(favourite nightmares, the soul food place, the irish place, the little italian place in the lake district)

there was a show many years ago on the bbc called ******* and it reminds me of this.

*head hunter
*problem solver
*im sure it began with M
*mr fixer
*...

1 point to the person that names it from my shoddy recollection.

As nearly 2,000 food establishments fail each year it it a bloody waste of time, there are too many as it is. Ramsey is still a bloody bully and I don't give a crap what you say.
