Those saying the board may say "we tried" to get Simeone but he said no so we went for Dyche or Allardyce

I don't think that would be a clever move from the club because 90% of our fans would be furious at either of those 2 appointments and knowing we went for the very best and ended up with complete dross would make us more angry

Atletico went from not beating Real in around 20 years to beating them at the Bernabeu in a cup final. In almost every single way possible, this manager represents NSNO much more than anyone in our current fanbase. And yes, Goodison under the lights with a set-piece heavy and counter-attacking style of football would be a sight to witness.

I would love Simeone. Anyone who says otherwise to not wanting him is a moron. He can and will singlehandedly turn around a club if given the chance. There is no other manager in the world I would rather have managing Everton.

I have read most posts in this thread and can’t recall any which say they wouldn’t want Simeone. The only posts I have seen are those saying he would be great, those saying he wouldn’t come to us and those stating both of the above.
 
Sorry but there's absolutely no chance we're getting him at this stage. Would personally, keep Rhino in charge until January and if all goes well and we start climbing back up the league, bring in Simeone and then give him as much money as he wants to transform our team. Really don't want Big Sam or any other underwhelming manager on a 3 year contract. Simeone would be an absolutely massive statement from Everton FC.

Bet they're crying their eyes out with their titles and success while we bask in our glorious history all the way down the table and in danger of relegation.

That's not my point. Before their money (which is the only thing that would attract Simeone here) they were nowhere near as big as Everton are now.
