Merson made a good point

Athletico are no longer the team they once were

Who can he manage in the prem?

Liverpool - no they are happy with klopp
Man Utd - no they are happy with mourinho
Chelsea - unlikely, conte just won them the prem
Arsenal - no wenger has a job for life no matter how crap he plays
Tottenham - hell no - pochettino is getting them playing unbelievable football atm
Man City - definitely not - guardiola is on the verge of winning the league this season

That just leaves us

Are Liverpool 100% happy with Klopp? 5 game non-winning streak and let's see.
Man Utd. and Mourinho? Volatile character who has already shown a bit of leg. See what is what at the end of the season on his future there.
Chelsea? Conte could be out on a whim if something happens. Conte wants to return to Italy and Chelsea are trigger happy with managers if they're not happy.
Arsenal? Wenger is now on borrowed time. I expect him to suddenly announce his retirement at the end of a season. This one? Next one? I don't know but I wouldn't be surprised if and when it happens.
Tottenham I think is unlikely, but it would be a case of a Barca or Real came in for Pochettino, then he might go.
City and Pep. This is the most unlikely option, but Pep does up sticks on a fairly regular basis, so never say never.

In other words, Diego just needs to bide his time for a short while and a better option on paper than us will appear if he wants to come to England to manage. Whoever doesn't get Champions League for a couple of years out of that lot will certainly be after him if he was thought to be available.

Hi mate.
Options exist that would take BHHL holding to a maximum of 73%. They relate to Bill Kenwright, Jon Woods (personal), Jon Woods Ltd and Arthur Abercromby's holdings. I say a maximum, as it is possible that JW/BK may wish to retain a holding for historical and sentimental reasons respectively.
The idea that milestones may be the driver for exercising the options is possibly correct, but they may just as easily be subject to a time limit - no one knows for certain. Think the milestone thing was first floated by @The Esk but I will stand corrected.
The charges relating to the options were filed in March 16 by our friends Applebys in the Isle of Man. The fact that they are the apparent Escrow Agents and the charges are in favour of BK et al, would lead me to suspect that the money is already held in escrow to exercise the options - but I may be wrong.
Thanks mate.
Be interesting to know what would trigger the options.

Back on topic....dont think Simeone is happening.

I remember smashing a 50 against them for Mosslands in a game of cricket.
Fuming they got beat by kids wearing trainees...

I hated every minute at MTS....would have preferred to go to the Grammar School. I got a free scholarship ,my dad brought me up by the docks in Seaforth, because my mother died when I was four. Always felt out of place at MTS because most kids had rich-ish parents and lived in the better parts of Crosby/Blundellsands!! Good school though...cricket coaching and rugby coaching was superb...all test cricketers and international players.

Are we as rich as Atletico? We're certainly not as good or closer to winning anything. He has hinted at Inter bring the club he'd return to although they don't need him right now.
I can't see any reason why he'd be interested.

It looks like Mourinho is possibly looking to jump ship at the end of the season - PSG.

Simeone would be a perfect fit for Man U and the way they play footy.

He's not coming to us, don't do it to yourself .
