Discussion & help on depression & mental health related issues

Don't be upset it's tough and everyone has their battles. I've just picked one I can't win but I'll give it a go. Not sure on the alternative stuff. I'm hoping to get some fluid removed so I at least feel more comfortable.
would you be interested in going to a game mate? Happy to donate towards a hospitality package so you can go watch us in our “luxury” hospitality.

Hi I've just got back from my appointment with my consultant. Unfortunately as I expected there is nothing more they can do with regards to treating the cancer. They can maybe do things to make me a little bit more comfortable. He didn't really want to commit to a timescale but suggested it would be months rather than years. Looks like 1995 FA Cup is going to be my last trophy. Hopefully I can keep going a bit longer and if you are still fine with it I'll try and keep you updated in here. At this stage I don't totally know what to think but I'm sure it will sink in shortly. Need a good start so I can go out on a high!
Don’t know what to say mate other than I’m sorry to hear your news . I hope this community can be of what help it can and I certainly hope the blues can raise a smile or two from you .

Thank you all for your kind words it means so much. We've never met but I feel so close to this whole community on here.

I've only been to 2 matches one was at Old Trafford 15 years ago and the other at home to West Ham 2019/2020. I will try and get to another before I depart this realm. Maybe in the next life Everton will be lucky.

Winning the Cup final in 95 was probably best memory although I foolishly believed it would be one of many it's our only real success. The 2 final day survival also good memories as of we had gone we may never have returned.
You certainly picked a tough away game messy in Old Trafford mate. Did we lose by any chance? Like others have already said I'm always popping my head in here if you want a chat.
So sorry Messy.

I would like to go to another match but I think I would prefer to just be amongst the fans. It's a really kind thought though and it's much appreciated. Anyways if I'm in the normal bit there will be plenty of pillars to hide behind when things go wrong which they will. Me and Everton in the same place will upset the God's of luck maybe 2 negatives could create a positive.

Yeah we did. My mate is a United fan so he give me a ticket he bought for his Mrs so was in the home end. There was a few blues in and we lost to a late penalty.

Get yourself in the away end for a game this season. I have often got myself a ticket outside on the day. It's a good experience but it was scary the first time by myself. You can have a sing then.
Gwladys Street at Goodison is good as well

Great idea count me in to donate. What you say @messymascot??
I also think it is a great idea and I also be willing to donate money towards this cause.
I'm not sure. However I'm loving how everyone is being so kind and together. Evertonians born not manufactured and we all feel the same. I've been on here about 8 years and absolutely love the place even if we don't all agree on everything we are one.
Come on Messy, let some of us come of with some money to purchase a ticket for you to go a game this season and have new and fresh memories of Everton playing at Goodison. It seems a few posters here are also wanting to meet you for a beer, I wish I live closer because I would definitely meet you too. So what do so you say? is there a game that you wish you could go this season? Let us try to make it happen.

I would really like to do it but unless my condition improves I don't know whether I would be up to it. I don't want people to go to a lot of effort and then not be able to make it due to tiredness. I live about 2 and a half hours away and the travelling takes a lot out of me. Maybe if they can drain some of the fluid I will start to feel more energetic and it could possibly be explored. I am absolutely overwhelmed by the reactions in here it means a lot to me. I appreciate every word that has been said and all the kind offers.
